Every now and then you get the opportunity to create a film that really makes a difference in people's lives. This project is one of those films. I never had the pleasure of meeting or knowing Chris Saiz. I first met his parents, Michael and Magda ten months after he had passed away from a car accident. They told me that since his death, they had created The Point The Way Foundation in Chris' honor to provide college scholarships to graduating high school seniors. I told them that I would like to produce a film that would preserve Chris' legacy and which would hopefully assist the foundation with it's fundraising efforts. I had no idea how much this experience would touch me on an emotional level. Chris was one of those "all around" great guys who excelled in academics, sports and friendships. He is truly missed and I feel very proud to have been able to produce this film to honor him.
