The Limelight Films crew hit the road in October and traveled to the tiny town of Panna Maria, Texas, just southeast of San Antonio. Panna Maria is the oldest Polish settlement in Texas where the first 100 Polish families arrived back in 1854. Teaming up with Steve Harding Design, we shot numerous interviews and b-roll for an upcoming project Steve is working on. This is the restored Catholic church that stands in the center of town. As a Polish descendant myself, this was a very special shoot to be a part of. My family was one of the colonists from upper Silesia in Poland, who landed in Galveston after a nine week voyage on a sailing ship. I invite you to learn more about Panna Maria here.
